What the cylinder demands
Mining and drilling equipment combines very high loads with abrasive dust and frequent impacts. Cylinders are large, downtime is expensive, and rods must keep working after surface knocks that would stop lighter equipment.
How XULI rods help
Induction hardened chrome plated rods at HRC 55–60, made from CK45 or AISI 4140 / 42CrMo4, are the usual choice for mining cylinders. A 25–30 µm chrome layer over the hardened case protects against corrosion underground.
