What the cylinder demands
Salt water and salt-laden air attack an exposed rod continuously. Standard chrome is micro-cracked, so on deck machinery, hatch covers and offshore equipment corrosion can start beneath the plating.
How XULI rods help
Nickel-chrome plated rods place a dense nickel layer under the chrome to seal the base steel, exceeding 500 hours of neutral salt-spray resistance. For the most aggressive conditions, rods are also available in 304L / 316L stainless steel.
